Daffodils and Ditsy Daisies

I'm not much of a dress girl. That's a known fact.

But sometimes, I find a little number I can't pass up. This vintage shift dress was a special find at the Savers in Crestwood. It was no more than $5, and I can't say no to that! I'm a fan of layering whenever possible, so on this day earlier in spring, I opted for another little thrifted item to keep my shoulders warm. This yellow sweater was discovered at the same time as the dress, so I think they were meant to be worn together. The floral pattern in the dress and the bright yellow of the sweater begged to hang out in my parents' backyard with all the freshly-sprouted daffodils.

My boots are American Eagle, but also a find from Savers. Can you tell I love that spot?! It's a bit different from most thrift stores as it is almost curated. The shirts are hung in sizes, and everything tends to be cleaner than many other thrift shops. I've had a lot of luck there.

I was running errands this day, and it was a bit breezy, so I tossed my military jacket on top for good measure. I love using a long necklace to break up the big wash of one color in the front of an outfit.

Many thanks to my mom for taking the photos!
