Transitioning to Fall Nail Color with Julep Nail Polish!
Abbey invited me to do a post highlighting Fall's arrival, and what polish I might choose to help reflect my fashion as it changes to adapt to the changing seasons.
When I received the infographic from Abbey (seen on the left), I immediately spotted Claudette at the top right. Although I don't wear them too often, I do adore a good red! It's not a pure red, but more of a muted, less pinup-oriented hue. I don't own a color like it, and can imagine topping an accent nail off with a gorgeous gold glitter for some extra oomph. I knew that I would pair it with my own spin on rocker-chic, especially my newfound obsession with hats and socks! It looks like the perfect color to reference the falling leaves.
I've always wanted to wear hats, but never quite found any I liked. Now that they're having serious hey day in the style world, I figured it was now or never. I started trying any and all on that I spotted while shopping. I now am the proud owner of three that take turns on my head. I had another, but my pup really likes chewing on wool things - like the hat, a blanket, socks, etc...
I did join Julep's Maven program, and sported one of their colors last week - look for a post soon on what color I was wearing, and what I think of the quality of the polish.
I'm truly a casual girl at heart, and I love sporting denim shorts. T-shirts are the ultimate comfy option, but in order to give the look a little something extra in the visual department, I would opt to layer a fringe tank top underneath. A pair of red leather booties would help set off Claudette. I'd stick with simple silver jewelry to complement the chain detailing on the boots. To keep a little warm, I would throw on a pair of over-the-knee socks and a bowler hat. Top it all off with your favorite coat, and you're ready to go!
What do you think? Are you a fan of accessorizing with your nail polish, and being a teensy bit matchy-matchy?
Thanks to Julep for inviting me to be a part of your blogger collaboration!
