Fall Day Trippin'
One of my favorite things to do is take short trips of almost any kind. For quite a few years, I would take one to two-day trips to Chicago to see bands that overlooked Saint Louis. You'll often hear about my well-remembered camping trips.
I think Fall is one of the best times to travel! The air is crisp, the colors are gorgeous, and most of all, there are no bugs! This is super important, especially if you're doing an early winter camping trip.
During the middle of this week, the boyfriend and I are heading to a small town called Weston, which is outside of Kansas City. I visited there with my family quite some time ago, and I thought it was the cutest little place. My fellah and I are going all out - we're staying in one of the amazing bed and breakfasts, having brunch at a tea cafe that's notoriously haunted, shopping, and having a couple of brews in the town's very own Weston Brewing Company. The brewery has been around since the 1840s! The adjoining pub is actually an underground tavern, which I can't wait to check out!
For a Fall day walking around a super cute town, I'm thinking casual is the way to go. I live in jeans most days, so I figure I'll likely be packing a pair of my favorite skinnies. And who isn't mad for plaid during this time of the year? I still work part-time at maurices, and we have a ton of fun plaids out right now! Throw on your favorite leather jacket, mix your blacks and browns, and you're good to go!
Look for a post in the coming weeks about this trip and all the fun we had!
