Cozy Christmas

Merry Christmas, loves!!! It's been a wonderful sort of lazy day for me and my family. I slept in after a fun night out with my sister and boyfriend, and wandered into my parents' house at 11am. We opened gifts, ate my mom's first homemade monkey bread, and hung out until Nick came over to have a quick lunch and open gifts. We don't have a ton of family in the area, but we typically do something with extended members. However, this year we opted to take it easy and just celebrate with our immediate foursome. I went over to Nick's mother's place last night for a late dinner and gift exchanges, so I really didn't have anywhere else to be. His mom actually gifted me both the sweater and the scarf I'm wearing! Of course, they match my hair, which I'm not going to argue with. I'm a matchy-matchy. It's not all Christmas-y, so maybe I'll plan to wear a more "holiday appropriate" ensemble next year. But I've never been one to follow any kind of rules, so I suppose it doesn't matter what I wear and when!

It was warm enough today that I didn't need a coat, which I'm super grateful for! We haven't seen a lot of sun lately, so I soak it up when I can! I opted to wear this vintage, thrifted shawl as my outer layer instead of a jacket. There's no tag, so I'd bet it's handmade. I love finds like that! My little woven leather mules are also thrifted, and I'm a big fan of the pointed toe.

What have you been wearing during the holidays? Do you tend to dress up or keep it pretty casual?
