Lions and Plaid and Mischief, Oh My!

Happy New Year's Eve, my loves! I hope you are able to celebrate today. I still haven't even decided what I'm wearing tonight... What about you?

We all have thrifted finds that completely alter your wardrobe. This lion-like coat is one of those. I admit that I was hesitant to take it home with me because it's a bit large, and I try to buy only clothes that fit. I carried this baby around with me inside the Fenton Value Village for a while before I ultimately decided to purchase it. I am so glad I did, because it's helping me further define my personal style during these colder months. It also gets a LOT of attention when I go out.

These vintage Levi's shorts were also thrifted, but as a pair of uber-stretch denim straight-leg jeans. I chopped off the legs, rolled the hems, and voila! My new favorite high-waisted shorts. Because of the flexible material, they are crazy comfortable. This tank top is one of my new favorite closet additions. If you're a Harry Potter fan like myself, you'll recognize the reference! It was a birthday gift from my darling friend Emily, who also happened to be the photo babe who took these photos! We met for late brunch at Rise Coffee, which I will be highlighting in an upcoming post as well. It's one of my favorite hangs for a a coffee, quick bite to eat, or work.  Have you ever been? I suggest you go ASAP!
