Favorites from FW15 BCBGMAXAZRIA
NYFW is in full swing! I am a little sad I couldn't make it this season, but I'm saving for so many things right now, money is a little tight. Like finishing my mermaid tattoo, getting a new tattoo, plane tickets to NYFW in September... But that doesn't mean that I can't be there in spirit! I'm all up on GPS Radar right now checking out the shows that are happening.
BCBGMAXAZRIA's FW15 runway show was held on February 12th, 2015 in the Theatre. I saw a few snaps pop up on Twitter and knew I had to go research the full line. I was really interested in the way that the designs captured that pivotal moment where summer fashions begin to blend into fall and wintry looks. From dresses that can function all year-round as long as they're paired with season-appropriate footwear and accessories, to heavier knits layered with exquisite coats, this collection has a little something for everyone, and definitely everything for me! Check out some of my favorites:
I am not really a wearer of dresses, but I would like to be. I'm just so picky about fit and the way they look on my body. So when I saw that these dresses were mostly wide cut shift or tunic cuts, I knew I'd love them. Add a cowl neck, and I'm sold! I'm glad cowl necks are appearing again so readily. I think they're just too fun, and cozy as well. I remember tucking my hair into scarves and cowl necks when it was long last winter, too!
I'm still on the fence about this culotte trend, but I LOVE the quilted fabric used on the pair on the above right. Actually, I just did that entire outfit. Can we talk about the capelet sweater?! NEED! And the furry boots? To me, they look a little, dare I say, cheap? However, I'm still totally interested. I'm betting I could actually make my own knock-offs. Ohhh, do I smell a DIY happening? Maybe!
