Taking Hints From Mr. Kravitz's Scarf Game

I've been having a hard time staying excited about clothes this winter. It has just been too dang cold to bother to "look good" most of the time. I've been trying to challenge myself to wear jeans less, and start incorporating more dresses and skirts into my wardrobe. It's a slow and steady process, and it's also very difficult to convince yourself to wear either of those items when it's only 15 degrees in the middle of the day.

In order to survive stylishly (sort of) this winter, I've taken to layers and also implementing the massive scarf trend. This scarf isn't even a scarf - it's actually a poncho!

Whatever works, man. Y'all remember that massive blanket-scarf-thing that Lenny Kravitz was spotting sporting? Yup. Totally stealing his idea. I also wear tights in order to keep my legs from freezing. These super cute striped ribbed tights have a little something extra added in.

They're from a brand called Kushyfoot, which focuses on making hosiery, legwear, and socks that have a massaging inset on the bottom of the foot. This sounds like silly business, but it makes a difference. Under these boots I also wore socks (see: cold), and between the cushioning of the sock and the massaging inset on the tickets, my feet were comfy all day!

A little snow never scared me. This day wasn't actually frigid, but let's talk about this weekend... Brrr!
