Happy Monday, loves! Today's Mani Monday was inspired by one of my favorite darker colors for the onset of winter - berry! Not only are raspberries one of my all-time favorite fruit options, the colors they inspire in the makeup world are always so lovely! I did a little accent or "party nail" for you this time, too. It's the easiest way to amp up your nails without actual nail art.

Both of these polishes are super affordable and can be found at your nearest drugstore or big retail store. Sinful Colors is one of the cheapest lines of lacquers out there (it can be found for about $2 in Saint Louis), and the brand is often quite on point with its seasonal collections. I spied a few pretty shades and glitters in their 2015 holiday collection the last time I was at Walgreens! This shade, "Berry Charm," is a gorgeous gel-like color that looks so professional and high-shine. During the day it appears on the lighter side of raspberry, but at night it feels more like a vampy shade when seen in low light. I used two quick coats for "Berry Charm," and topped my accent nail with two lightly-applied coats of Covergirl's "Fuschia Flame." I can't wait to try out this plummy shimmer polish on its own, too!

Cleanup was quite easy and all my nails dried quickly under my usual Seche Vite topcoat. These photos were taken on day three of wear, which can you tell by looking at the very edges of my nails. I currently don't have a very ideal spot/setup for taking photos, and I'm working on remedying that asap. I have a small office in my new apartment that I need to finish setting up soon. That way I can utilize better light all the time, and also use an actual digital camera instead of my iPhone...

Do you have favorite colors during the colder months? Do you adhere to the idea that darker is better?
