Mani Monday: ILNP Timeless Vow
A few months ago, my darling friend Marsha of Meero Mani Nails gifted me a certificate for I Love Nail Polish, a boutique nail polish brand. ILNP is 3-Free, meaning its formulas do not contain Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Dibutyl Phthalate, chemicals that have been found potentially harmful to humans. ILNP also does NOT test on animals, and makes efforts to not use any materials derived from animals or insects. Marsha was wearing one of their polishes when we first met, and although I cannot remember what its name is, I was stunned how gorgeous it looked! Being the ridiculously amazing sweetheart that she is, Marsha surprised me later with a gift card to ILNP so I could try too!
I'm not exaggerating when I say it took me nearly FOREVER to decide which colors to add to my collection. I tried to choose colors that are most unlike any I have in my arsenal, which, as you might guess, was a tad difficult. The first one I spotted was Timeless Vow. You know I like green/teal/etc tones, and Timeless Vow just looked fresh and springy. When I first applied it at home, it seemed like your usual shimmery polish. But... then I got it in the sunlight the next day.
GUYS LOOK AT THAT! It's a freaking rainbow in a polish! It's totally distracting in direct sunlight. Also, look at how clean the edges are! This polish not only applied super smoothly, but was thin and watery enough that clean up with my little concealer brush dipped in polish remover was really effective. I bet this means that removal will also be easy and quick, which is a plus. For reference, I used three lightly-applied coats of Timeless Vow to achieve full opacity.
I have to say that the packaging also impressed me. The little black boxes were velvety smooth and I have to say, I do love a good gold foil text! The polishes range in price from $9(sale) to $12.50 on the website, which considering the effects, quality, and packaging, is a good deal. The polishes arrived in a well-padded box, with the cutest branded tissue paper. I always appreciate the attention to detail. The other two colors you see above are Mega (S), on the left, and Hush (H), on the right. I'm trying to do some research on the site regarding what the letters after the names mean, and it seems that the S means "scattered." From what I can tell, it means that it's thicker particles of the holographic material, which makes it more intense. I'm guessing the H after Hush means holographic.
Overall, I can't wait to try my other colors, and I'm super thankful that Marsha introduced me to this polish brand! I have a feeling I'll be picking up a seasonal color here and there as time passes.

*** Edit: Upon removal last night after finishing this post, I noticed that my nails now have a bit of a green cast to them. I guess this color stains a bit! Not the biggest deal to me because my nails are polished 98% of the time, but just wanted to add in that development.
