Mani Monday: Essie's In The Lobby

Y'all know how I love rock 'n roll style? Essie's Fall 2015 collection is right up my alley. All of the polishes are musically themed, such as "With the Band," "Bell-Bottom Blues," and "Frock 'n Roll." I picked up a couple last week because I'd really like to start staying more up-to-date with recent collections from my favorite polish brands. So here we go!

A deep sort of blackened raspberry (as it looks to me), "In The Lobby" is a great fall color. I think it's even appropriate now because it seems to be that darker nail colors are generally accepted as all-weather these days. It's a gorgeous hue if you like "vampy" polishes, and the application was pretty darn easy. The polish is a little on the thicker side, so I was careful to make sure I didn't end up with streaks. I opted to use three full coats to achieve this opacity. I did sort of botch up the tip of my pinky nail, which you can see in some of these pictures, but it's not that obvious, so I'll survive. 

I also picked up "Frock 'n Roll," which I hope to post as next week's Mani Monday... that is, if I can find it amongst all my crazy crap in my apartment! I just moved into a new spot and everything is an absolute mess. Wish me luck!
