Mani Monday: Silly Snowflakes
Now that I've been able to start doing more fun and more easy nail art with the generous goodies that Kiss Nails sent to me, I've been feeling that it's time to start doing themes! With the official start of winter just over a week away, I thought it was time to do something season-appropriate. It has already snowed a couple times here in Saint Louis, and I love it so much. My pup, Cher, enjoys romping around in it and trying to catch snowballs that I toss to her. The only issue with snow here in Saint Louis is that it quickly deteriorates into gross mush in the city streets.
I thought this look would be fun and holiday-oriented without being too in-your-face. I love a good chrome polish, and Julep's Aurora fits the bill. I always struggle with application when it comes to chromes - they tend to be streaky. But, after using my usual Seche Vite top coat, the streaks evened out nicely on Aurora. The blue polish might look familiar - it was mentioned in my last Mani Monday post about using Kiss Nails' Paint & Stencil Kit. The polishes in this kit have skinny brush applicators, so it was fairly easy to draw on the snowflakes. I think I did a pretty good job for my first snowflake drawing!
Do you do seasonal nail art? Or do you stick with basic nail looks?
