Weekday Workflow: Monday
I wasn't really feeling color this morning when it came to my wardrobe. It's gloomy outside, but luckily it wasn't raining when I stepped outside to snap some photos! In fact, the sun popped out just for a minute as if to say hello. I boosted the color on my hair again last night, and knew I had to make sure to get some photos today because the tone fades so quickly on teal/green/blue hair.
This oversized blouse was a sale item at maurices over the summer, and I think a black and white striped button-down is a must for every wardrobe. It's work appropriate but playful at the same time. The shape of this one begs to be tied, so I knew I needed to pair it was something that sat high on my waist. I found this leather skirt in Sarah of The Wicked Wallflower's closet when she invited me over to browse items she was donating. It fits perfectly, and became the first midi-length piece I owned. I like that it makes my legs look a bit longer. I'm all torso and no leg whatsoever, so anything that gives that illusion is good in my book!
I didn't realized until I got to work that my tights have some sort of bleach spot on the left ankle. Whoops! They are a dark slate grey, which I thought added interest rather than just going with black. And to sort of match, I chose a royal blue lace cami for under the blouse. A little peek of color here and there. Overall, I think this is the most leather I've worn at all once, and only one leather piece was bought new, and by new, I mean on super sale at TJ Maxx, so how about that?
