Mani Monday: A Little Blue Leopard Look
Our Mani Master Tucker is back this week to bring you Mani Monday in my stead. You'd think that being unemployed means I'd have all the time in the world to do my own nails, but now that I'm not held to a static schedule, I've been all over the place. Working part time as a hostess, DJing, seeing family and friends, and preparing to move into a new apartment all have me goofing up my time management skills. Tucker says of his super cute nail art look:
This week I'm bringing you one of my favorite go-to nail art looks! When in doubt, this leopard print pattern is perfect for a full set or just an accent nail, and you can do it in any color combination! I started this design with China Glaze's #1400 "DJ Blue my Mind" that I picked up at Sally Beauty earlier this summer. It applies smooth and opaque in practically one coat. This electric blue was perfect for adding a little twist to a classic leopard design. After I apply the base color, I use my Cina 5 Piece Dotting/Marbleizing Tool Kit to apply some random splotches of the light blue I created by mixing some of my base color with a Sinful Colors white. I then went in with my detail brush and added black accents around the dots that I laid down. I finished it all off with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat! Check out this tutorial here:
This design doesn't have to be just nails! I used gold and black polish to spruce up this concrete succulent planter.
Thanks, Tucker! I love that you can take the directions and use them for other projects, too! Keep your eyes peeled for a possible nail look this week, and I promise to be back with my own looks next Monday for you as well.
