Highs and Lows and a Secondhand Dress
Life is currently going all sorts of sideways with job interviews, working part-time, DJing, blogging, and all the fun of being young and in love with life. Even though being unemployed stereotypically means you end up unhappy, stressed, and generally at a low point of your life, I'm still doing fine. I've been spending lots of time with friends, staying up late, drinking lots of wine, working on my blog and DJing, and everything is a-ok. I'm riding all the best highs that I can find while still searching for my next workplace adventure. I'm a firm believer in the idea that your attitude affects all aspects of your life. Staying positive has always kept me going. I try not to let anything bring me down for long.
Summer seems to be winding down a bit, and our weather has been absolutely amazing the past few days, even if there was a little rain here and there. On the warmer days, I'm still trying my best to wear my skirts and dresses as much as possible, and this blue-purple secondhand find is one of my favorites. I found it in a resale shop last summer in Branson, MO, but I think I only wore it once in all of 2014. I rediscovered it this summer and have worn the ever-living heck out of it this year! It's so light and breezy, and works really well with some of my lightweight bralettes. These pointed flats are a staple in my closet each year. H&M releases some variation of them every spring season, and I adore them because they're so soft and flexible right off the bat. You don't have to spend any time breaking them in, and they look much more expensive than they cost - I think I paid around $13 for them! Not bad!
