Mani Monday: Sally Hansen's Lime Lights

Happy Monday! This post comes a little late but I wasn't able to snap some good daylight pictures until earlier this afternoon. Sorry for the wait, and thank you for being patient! Today I'm wearing Sally Hansen's Lime Lights polish. I chose this color for a particular reason - read on to find out why!

So two Mondays ago, I was laid off. This has never happened to me before, but I'm staying super positive. This gives me the opportunity to really find a company that challenges me, supports me, and I can truly grow within. I'm looking forward to finding that perfect professional family! And I have this silly little thing I do when I'm strapped for cash or hurting on the financial front - I paint my nails green for good luck! This polish in particular is one of my favorites to wear during these times. It's a little bit shimmery, and a lotta bit pretty!

I like the name as well, as I feel sometimes even the smallest things can help boost your confidence or channel your energy in the right direction. With a name like "Lime Lights," I'm sure to aim big and work hard. Gotta get that green, and end up in the lime light!

As far as formula goes, this older polish of mine is not bad, but not great. It took four thin applications to achieve this level of opacity, and there is still a little bit of a visible nail line. If you look closely, you can see some bubbles on the middle finger, and slight streaking on the other nails. I'm not too mad about it, because I know that shimmers can be tough to handle.

Do you have any polishes or colors that bring you good luck? Let me know!
